I’ve seen Webphsere mentioned in similar issues, but I never installed or used Websphere server on a workstation. Webshphere is installed in the licensed programs on our IBM I, however. Is there a way to update the certificate without using Websphere? Any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, S Kristant
Did you have trouble stopping the nodeagent? This message happens when you try to start a server, like the nodeagent when it did not stop cleanly (or even there was no attempt to stop it) ... and the port is still in use. If you can't end the nodeagent cleanly to free up the port, try restarting the OS.

As of now the support for Java 11 is strictly with WebSphere Liberty. Java 11 is not supported on Traditional WebSphere. The page you are referencing is mentioning WebSphere in general terms as an umbrella. WebSphere (base) includes tWAS and Liberty. If you are interested in Java 11, WebSphere Liberty is the way to go.
