"I've had my vehicle in the past year multiple times at Chevy. This location (Sawmill Rd), Mark Wahlberg, etc...It is the same issue. They've reviewed codes. Kept kicking the can down the road. Engine was cleared. Now, that I am outside of the bumper to bumper, surprisingly, we figure out the issue and surprise, it is $1900. Not to mention every time my vehicle had issues, I'd need to rent my own vehicle paying out of pocket. I essentially had to throw a fit just to get the loaner for this most recent visit. Yes! Recently bought 2017 Buick Encore. Actually one week old and the side build spot is having the same issues on the driver side,passenger side works fine. Took it back to the dealer they ran a scan,scan show no defect,but as witnessed by the mechanic during a test run the driver side blind spot indicator is not functioning properly.
When the Encore goes into reduced power mode, it's protecting the catalyst or the engine from major damage. It could be a fault in the transmission, or the throttle actuator, or an engine over temp, or an oil over temp.
